🏗️ ATTACHED RUNS
Custom Runs — The Part Nobody Else Gets Right
The run is where most coops fail. Big box coops use chicken wire that raccoons rip through in minutes. We use hardware cloth on the walls and buried around the perimeter. Your birds are safe. Period.
Run Configuration Options
Tell us your flock size and yard space — we'll design the perfect run.
Side Run
Run attached to one side of the coop. Most common layout.
Wraparound Run
Run wraps around 2-3 sides. Maximum outdoor space.
Extended Run
Long run extending from the coop. Great for narrow yards.
Hardware Cloth — Not Chicken Wire
1/2" galvanized hardware cloth on all run surfaces. Raccoons, hawks, foxes, snakes — nothing gets in. We bury hardware cloth 6-12" around the perimeter to stop diggers.
Covered Porch / Shade Area
Optional covered section so your hens have shade in summer and dry ground when it rains. Keeps the run usable year-round in Indiana weather.
✅ BUILT-IN FEATURES
What Makes Our Coops Different
LP SmartSide Siding
Same 25-year warranty siding as our sheds. Resists rot, termites, and moisture. Paintable any color.
2×6 Floor Joists
Real framing. Not particleboard or plywood that sags. Built to last decades, not seasons.
Predator-Proof
Hardware cloth on all run surfaces. Secure latches that raccoons can't open. Your birds sleep safe.
Nesting Boxes
Built-in nesting boxes with exterior egg access. Collect eggs without going inside the coop.
Ventilation
Proper gable vents and optional windows. Good airflow is critical for flock health, especially in Indiana summers.
Fully Customizable
Any color, any size, any layout. Match your house or go with a classic barn red. Your coop, your way.

❓ CHICKEN COOP FAQ
Common Questions
How much does a custom chicken coop cost?
Starter coops for 1-6 hens typically range from $1,500-$2,500. Larger shed + run combos for 10-50+ birds start around $3,000 and go up to $8,000+ depending on size, run length, and options. Every coop is custom quoted — book a free consultation and we'll design one around your flock and budget.
How many chickens can your coops hold?
It depends on the size you choose. The general rule is 4 square feet per chicken inside the coop and 10 square feet per chicken in the run. We'll help you figure out the right size during your consultation based on your flock size and breed.
Are your coops predator-proof?
Yes — we use 1/2" galvanized hardware cloth (not chicken wire) on all run surfaces including walls, ceiling, and buried around the perimeter to stop diggers. All latches are raccoon-resistant. Your birds are fully protected from raccoons, hawks, foxes, opossums, and snakes.
Can I add a coop to my property if I live in a subdivision?
Many Indianapolis-area cities allow backyard chickens with certain restrictions (usually hens only, no roosters, with a flock size limit). Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville, and Indianapolis all have ordinances that permit backyard hens. We recommend checking your specific city's ordinance and HOA rules. We can help you navigate this during your consultation.
How long does it take to build?
Most coops are built on-site in 1 -3 days. Larger shed + run combos with porches and extra features may take 2-4 days. You'll have a timeline before we start.
Can I pick the colors?
Absolutely — just like our sheds, your coop is paintable any color. Match your house, go with classic barn red and white trim, or pick something completely unique. Shingle colors too. It's your coop.
Do you build in winter?
We build year-round, weather permitting. If you're planning for spring chicks, booking in late winter is smart — spring is our busiest coop season and slots fill fast.
