🪵 WHY A FIREWOOD SHED

Stop Burning Wet Wood

Stacking firewood against the house invites termites and moisture. A tarp blows off every storm. A proper firewood shed keeps your wood seasoned, dry, and ready to burn — while keeping pests away from your home.

Stays Dry

Full roof keeps rain and snow off your wood. Open sides allow airflow for proper seasoning.

Proper Airflow

Open or slatted sides let air circulate so your wood seasons faster and burns cleaner.

Off the Ground

Elevated floor keeps wood off the soil — away from moisture, insects, and rot.

Away From Home

Don't stack firewood against your house. Termites and carpenter ants follow the wood inside.

Any Size

From a compact 4×4 for a weekend fire pit to a 6×12 for heating your home all winter.

Looks Great

Custom colors to match your shed or house. Way nicer than a blue tarp and a pile of logs.

❓ FIREWOOD SHED FAQ

Common Questions

What size firewood shed do I need?

A cord of firewood is 4×4×8 feet (128 cubic feet). If you use your fireplace a few times a week in winter, a 4×8 (half cord) is plenty. If you heat your home with wood, a 6×12 or larger is recommended. We'll help you figure out the right size during your consultation.

Should a firewood shed have walls?

A firewood shed needs a roof and elevated floor, but the sides should be open or slatted to allow airflow. Airflow is what seasons your wood and prevents mold. We design our firewood sheds with proper ventilation built in.

How far should firewood be stored from my house?
